दिनांक 30 सितंबर 2020 को इतिहास विभाग किरोड़ीमल महाविद्यालय द्वारा उच्च लक्ष्य और जीवन प्रबंधन विषय पर वेबीनार आयोजित कराया गया जिस के मुख्य अतिथि 2014 बैच के आईपीएस आदरणीय श्री कार्तिकेय के शर्मा जी थे। कार्यक्रम का संचालन इतिहास विभाग के ही तृतीय वर्ष के छात्र चर्चित गंगवार और द्वितीय वर्ष की छात्रा मुक्ता नरवाल ने किया। महाविद्यालय की प्राचार्य डॉ विभा सिंह चौहान के द्वारा मुख्य अतिथि जी का आतिथ्य सत्कार हुआ तत्पश्चात आदरणीय कार्तिकेय सर का संबोधन प्रारंभ हुआ।  अपने संबोधन में महोदय ने विभिन्न विषयों पर व्यापक दृष्टिकोण प्रस्तुत किया, आरंभ में ही जीवन को अप्रत्याशित बताकर आगे के पड़ाव में आने वाले संघर्षों और चुनौतियों से अवगत कराया।  बकौल श्री शर्मा ने सफलता के लिए किए जाने वाले संकल्प का कोई विकल्प नहीं है, और संघर्षों के अतिरिक्त भी कई प्रभावी कारक ऐसे होते हैं जो हमारे चरित्र निर्माण में व व्यक्तित्व निर्माण में सहायक होते हैं वह हमें सफलता की ओर अग्रसर करते हैं। सफलता सिर्फ हमारे दृढ़ संकल्पित और अथक परिश्रम का ही नहीं बल्कि इन प्रभावी घटकों के द्वारा हमें मिलने वाली प्रेरणा और

While 12 th March, 2020’s order to extend the mid-sem break till 31 st March, 2020 was embraced by many, there was also a group of people who were hoping and praying that the University of Delhi will not agree to the Delhi Government’s order and colleges will remain open. Unfortunately, that was not the case. For many, the Lockdown begun with trying out new things, exploring personal interests, trying hands on things they like: cooking, painting, gardening, making dalgona Coffee, etc. while for many the Lockdown imposed unwanted duties and burden. It had started raining so I sat down with a cup of tea to relax after being done with all my hectic online classes. My head was aching of continuous staring at the computer screen along with an incessant back pain due to sitting uncomfortably for five hours taking lectures and making notes. That has been every student’s life lately since online classes have started. In that moment, it all seemed almost unbearable for me, so I just closed my eyes to let it all sink in.  I couldn’t help but think about our last day at college before the outbreak of covid-19 and the events that followed thereafter.   Mid-sem break was around the corner and I was pretty much excited to be leaving for home that day. I had my entire semester planned out and was eagerly waiting for the events of even semester to unfold. Well, along with the even semester comes the excitement and thrill of witnessing the famous Delhi University fests. ( I’d be lying if I say that fests were not one of the reasons I wanted DU)

As the students of the History Department in third-year are reading about Rekhta as a source to reconstruct Mughal History, they have also come across a reading by Prof. Saifuddin Ahmad- Bas Ke Samjhe Hai Isko Sare Awam: The Emergence of Urdu Literary Culture in North India . Therefore to throw some light on the topic of Rekhta and to acquire more knowledge out of the given readings, the History Department of Kirori Mal College invited Professor Saifuddin Ahmad to speak on the Early Urdu Literary Tradition & the Practice of Rekhta .
